If you were hoping for a complete critique of red-carpet fashions from this year's Golden Globe Awards (set to air this Sunday night, January 13th), don't hold your breath. The Foreign Press announced today that the normally star-studded show would be cancelled and replaced by an hour-long press conference to air on the same evening. Need I say, LAME!!! Apparently the ongoing Writer's Guild strike is causing quite a fuss, and thus the majority of the stars have, in a showing of support, refused to cross the writer's picket lines. (Now, I am told that this is more of a symbolic statement rather than, as I imagined, celebrities attempting to break through clasped hands to the sounds of, "Red Rover, Red Rover, send Brad Pitt right over!") Whatever. All I have to say is these union folks better get their acts together before the Oscars. Me, Joan and Melissa have a job to do.
